Displaying outstanding accuracy, Nuance can handle virtually any scanned document, even dealing with complex formatting, such as tables and charts. A major advantage is that it preserves formatting, which makes it easy to access documents in the future. OmniPage also offers despeckling capabilities to clear up the text and improve recognition.
The most common criticism of OmniPage is directed at its inconvenient interface. While OmniPage 18 Professional seeks to address problems with earlier versions of the software, the success has only been partial.
